The NEPRA Appellate Tribunal has dismissed K-Electric’s appeals against regulatory decisions dated October 20, 2025, in a development the power utility says will significantly affect its tariff framework for FY2024 to FY2030.
K-Electric said the tribunal announced its decision verbally, while the detailed written order has not yet been issued.
The company said the decision would have a substantial adverse impact on its Multi-Year Tariff (MYT) for the FY2024-FY2030 control period and described the outcome as financially unsustainable.
K-Electric said it is waiting for the tribunal’s detailed written order before deciding on the legal options available to it.
The appeals were filed against NEPRA’s decisions issued on October 20, 2025. The company said it will review the detailed order once received and consider further legal remedies accordingly.
