The use of freight containers by Islamabad Police for security arrangements is creating a supply shortage, particularly for medicines and food ahead of the planned September 27 protest.
Police have taken a large number of containers into use to secure key roads and entry and exit points of the federal capital.
Some of the containers were carrying goods meant for Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
In just 3 weeks, authorities have been arranging large numbers of containers to block major roads and restrict movement into the capital.
