Hyderabad Tax Collection Jumps Above Rs. 28 Billion

The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Hyderabad collected a provisional net Rs. 28.788 billion during the first quarter of FY2026-27, recording an 18 percent increase from Rs. 24.373 billion collected in the same period last year.

The tax office collected Rs. 12.009 billion in September 2026 alone, up 18 percent from Rs. 10.093 billion in September 2025.

The first quarter collection included Rs. 18.402 billion in Income Tax, Rs. 9.760 billion in Sales Tax and Rs. 627 million in Federal Excise Duty.

Income Tax collection increased by 9 percent, while both Sales Tax and Federal Excise Duty collections grew by 37 percent during the quarter.

Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, RTO Hyderabad Sajjad Akber Khan appreciated the officers and staff for their efforts and said the tax office would continue working to increase revenue collection and improve tax compliance.
