HMD has launched its latest Vibe series smartphone, the Vibe2 Pro, in India. The new phone combines a 120Hz display with a 64MP Sony camera, a 6,000mAh battery, and 5G connectivity.
The phone should launch in other markets soon, though there is no official word from HMD as of yet.
Design and Display
The HMD Vibe2 Pro features a 6.78-inch LCD display with Full-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The phone is available in Aqua Green, Cosmic Purple, and Silver Mist color options. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a USB Type-C port.
Internals and Software
The Vibe2 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and supports 5G connectivity.
The phone runs Android 16. Other connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS.
HMD offers the phone with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, with both variants featuring 128GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot is also included for expanding the phone’s storage.
Cameras
The rear camera setup consists of a 64MP main camera based on Sony’s IMX682 sensor, paired with a 2MP macro camera. Video recording is limited to 1080p 30FPS.
For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 13MP front-facing camera.
Battery
The Vibe2 Pro packs a 6,000 mAh battery and supports 33W wired charging. The battery should be able to last over a single day of average use, though HMD has not quoted any official numbers.
Pricing
The HMD Vibe2 Pro starts at $156 for the 6GB/128GB variant. The 8GB/128GB model is priced at $177.
Note that these are Indian prices, and international prices are likely to be different.
