Galaxy M08 and F08 Unveiled as Samsung’s Latest Budget Phones
Samsung has introduced two new budget smartphones, the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08, with both models focusing on large batteries, 50MP cameras, and long-term software support.
The two phones also bring IP64 protection and the MediaTek Helio G99+ chipset.
Design and Display
The Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 feature a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD with a resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels and support for 16 million colors.
Both phones measure 167.4 × 77.4 × 8.0mm and weigh 197g.
They carry an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes, while biometric security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Internals and Software
Both smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Helio G99+ octa-core chipset with clock speeds of up to 2.2GHz.
The phones come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while a microSD card slot supports expansion of up to 2TB.
They run Android 17, and Samsung promises six generations of OS upgrades along with six years of security updates.
Samsung has also included Circle to Search, Quick Share, Knox Vault, and SmartThings support.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and USB Type-C. Both phones also retain a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Cameras
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary sensor.
The primary camera supports autofocus and up to 10x digital zoom, while video recording is supported at up to Full HD resolution at 30fps.
For selfies and video calls, both models have an 8MP front camera.
Battery and Pricing
The Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 pack a 6,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
Samsung does not include the charger in the box, meaning it must be purchased separately.
Both phones are currently listed in a 4GB/64GB configuration.
Samsung has not yet announced its USD pricing, color options, or sales date, but given the phones’ specifications, we can expect to see budget friendly pricing.
