Forza Horizon 6 Beats Every First Party Game in 2026

Forza Horizon 6 is comfortably the highest-earning first-party game released by Sony or Microsoft in 2026, according to estimates from Alinea Analytics.

The open-world racing game has sold around 8.8 million copies and generated approximately $579.2 million in revenue so far.

Xbox Ecosystem Drives Most of the Revenue

Alinea estimates that 56.7% of Forza Horizon 6 revenue came from the Xbox ecosystem, rather than Steam.

Around 1.3 million players also paid for the Game Pass upgrade, while more than 10 million Game Pass subscribers accessed the game overall.

The game is now set to launch on PlayStation 5 on January 26, 2027, alongside its first Premium Expansion and a free update.

Alinea expects the PS5 release to push Forza Horizon 6 closer to, and potentially beyond, Gran Turismo 7’s estimated $834 million in revenue. Its predecessor has generated more than $1 billion.

Wolverine Takes Second Place

Sony’s Marvel’s Wolverine ranks second on the 2026 first-party chart.

Nearly a month after launch, the game has sold around 2.5 million copies and generated approximately $193 million.

It also holds a strong 4.7 out of 5 rating on the PlayStation Store.

MLB The Show 26 Is Close Behind

MLB The Show 26 generated around $192.7 million, placing it just behind Wolverine.

The game is performing around 25% better than last year’s entry, according to Alinea.

Interestingly, 48% of its revenue came from Xbox, despite the smaller Xbox console install base compared with PlayStation.

Halo Performs Better on PS5 Than Steam

Halo: Campaign Evolved has generated an estimated $86.5 million.

Around 46.5% of that revenue came from PlayStation 5, while Steam accounted for just 12.2%.

Marathon Reaches $61 Million

Bungie’s Marathon has sold around 1.7 million copies across PC, PS5 and Xbox, generating approximately $61 million.

Steam contributed the largest share of revenue.

However, Alinea estimates the game currently has around 50,000 daily users across all platforms.

Marvel Tōkon, Gears and Saros Trail Behind

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls has sold around 800,000 copies and generated $51.6 million, with roughly 82% of revenue coming from PS5.

Gears of War: E-Day has reached around 311,000 premium sales, including 210,000 on Steam and 101,000 on Xbox, generating approximately $42.1 million.

Housemarque’s Saros closes the chart with around 521,000 copies sold and an estimated $40.4 million in revenue.

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls $51.6 million
