The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to appoint 36 new officers and staff members to speed up the verification of documents and apostilles, according to 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources said the foreign ministry has begun steps to make the document and apostille verification process faster and more transparent.
The decision to increase staff was taken to ensure that applications are processed within the required time.
Sources said the additional officers and staff will help complete the verification of apostilles and other documents within the set period.
They added that the selection of new staff is being carried out in line with transparency requirements and the relevant rules.
The ministry expects the extra staff to further reduce the time needed for verifying apostilles and documents once the new appointments are made.
Sources also said most of the staff currently handling document verification at the Foreign Ministry are from outside the ministry.
