FBR Restores IRIS Portal Again
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has said its IRIS portal is now operating normally after taxpayers faced intermittent technical issues earlier this week.
In a post on Friday, FBR said the portal received more than 50,000 forms on both Wednesday and Thursday.
The tax authority thanked taxpayers for their cooperation and asked them to report any difficulties with the system.
On September 16, FBR had acknowledged that taxpayers were facing intermittent problems with the IRIS portal.
At the time, FBR said its teams were working to resolve the issue and would provide an update once the problem was fixed.
The portal is particularly important as the deadline for filing tax returns approaches.
