Court Issues Non-Bailable Arrest Warrants for 27 Doctors Over Dengue Patient’s Death
A local court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for 27 doctors and administrative officers of Hyderabad Civil Hospital in a case concerning the death of a 17-year-old dengue patient last year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The court ordered police to arrest all the named accused and produce them before the court at the next hearing on October 27 after they failed to appear.
The case concerns the death of Hasnain Aamir, who was receiving treatment for dengue at Civil Hospital Hyderabad. A case was registered at Market Police Station last year on the complaint of his father, Aamir Latif.
The deceased boy’s father had approached the court seeking registration of a case, alleging negligence and carelessness by the hospital administration in his son’s treatment.
A case was subsequently registered against the hospital’s doctors under Section 302, which deals with punishment for murder.
