COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, has opened applications for the HEC Need-Based Scholarship Program for eligible BS and undergraduate students enrolled in the Fall 2026 semester.
The scholarship targets deserving students facing financial difficulties and aims to help them continue their undergraduate education.
According to the university’s announcement, students admitted on open merit and enrolled in Fall 2026 can apply if their family income falls below the applicable poverty threshold.
Applicants must submit their complete scholarship forms and supporting documents by 15 October 2026.

Who Can Apply
The scholarship is open to BS and undergraduate students admitted to COMSATS Lahore on open merit and enrolled during the Fall 2026 semester. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
According to HEC’s current Need-Based Scholarship criteria, students who secure admission on a self-finance basis are not eligible for the program. HEC assesses financial need through the university’s Institutional Scholarship Award Committee.
The availability of scholarship slots also depends on the funding allocated to the participating university.
What Does the Scholarship Cover
HEC’s Need-Based Scholarship Program provides financial assistance toward university fees for selected undergraduate students. HEC also provides each selected grantee with a Rs. 6,000 monthly stipend for the duration of the eligible degree program.
The scholarship continues for the normal duration of the program, subject to continued eligibility and the university’s applicable rules.
Funds are not paid directly by HEC to applicants. HEC disburses the scholarship through the participating university.
Documents Required
Applicants must submit supporting documents with their scholarship form.
According to the COMSATS Lahore announcement, students should provide:
- Academic record and copies of degrees or transcripts
- One passport-size photograph
- CNIC of the applicant
- CNIC of parents or guardian
- Domicile certificate
- Latest electricity bill
- Latest gas bill
- Latest telephone bill
- Latest water bill
- Salary slip or income certificate
- Pension book or supporting pension documents, where applicable
- Family details on Form B
- Death certificate if a parent or guardian is deceased
- Business income affidavit, where applicable
- Rent agreement if the family lives in a rented house
- Fee slips of siblings currently studying
- Details of any previous scholarship received
- Statement of purpose
How to Apply
Applicants must first enter their information through the Google Form provided by COMSATS Lahore for soft data entry.
Students must then obtain the hard-copy scholarship form from the photocopy shop at the CUI Lahore Campus.
After completing the form, applicants should attach all required supporting documents and submit the complete application to the SSC/Students Financial Aid Office at COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus.
HEC does not accept Need-Based Scholarship applications directly from students. Applicants must submit their forms through the relevant university financial aid office.
