Balochistan to Train 30,000 Citizens for Foreign Jobs
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has directed officials to accelerate a program aimed at equipping 30,000 young people with technical skills and sending them abroad for employment.
The instructions came during the 11th board meeting of the Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (B-TEVTA), where officials reviewed training initiatives and progress toward employment targets.
Bugti stressed that training must reflect market demand and lead to actual job opportunities rather than simply awarding qualifications. He called for better training standards, stronger institutional performance, and closer coordination among the agencies involved.
Separately, the chief minister ordered a comprehensive strategy to connect 25,000 young people expected to complete technical training by next year with domestic and international employment opportunities.
During the meeting, Bugti also inaugurated an Institute Registration Portal to streamline the registration of technical training institutes and strengthen monitoring of their performance.
The board reviewed delays in the Chief Minister’s Youth Skills Development Program. Officials informed the meeting that action had been initiated against those responsible for implementation delays and failure to meet targets.
Bugti directed authorities to speed up training projects and regularly assess institutional performance. He said practical, employment-focused training could help young people become financially independent, support their families, and contribute to Balochistan’s economy.
