Pakistan Test captain Babar Azam lost his temper after fans repeatedly entered the ground during a President’s Trophy Grade-I match in Islamabad and threw away a fan’s mobile phone.
The incident occurred at Diamond Ground during the fourth round of the first-class tournament, where Babar was representing OGDCL against State Bank of Pakistan.
Babar’s difficult run continued as he was dismissed for 21 runs. While returning to the pavilion, a large number of fans surrounded the star batter, with several attempting to take selfies with him.
Fans also repeatedly entered the field during the match to take pictures with Babar. At one point, the crowd gathered around him while he was fielding, reportedly frustrating the Pakistan captain.
Footage circulating on social media shows Babar taking a fan’s mobile phone before throwing it away as the crowd surrounded him.

The latest dismissal adds to Babar’s struggles since returning to domestic cricket after nearly seven years. In his previous appearance for OGDCL, his first domestic outing since the 2019 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final, he scored just 12 and four in the two innings.
In the first innings, Babar top-edged a pull against Arshad Iqbal to a fielder at mid-wicket. In the second, fellow Test cricketer Faheem Ashraf trapped him lbw.
Babar’s return to domestic cricket was aimed at regaining form, but he has managed only 37 runs across his first three innings for OGDCL.
