Apple video shows new MacBook Pro with PROLED display in action

Apple just debuted a swanky and seriously expensive new MacBook Pro, its first-ever Mac with a touchscreen or OLED display, and you can see it in video form right now.
In a new promo video posted to YouTube on Wednesday afternoon, Apple debuted the new touchscreen-equipped MacBook Pro, with what Apple is calling a “PROLED” display. In the video, Apple refers to the device as a “portable reference” monitor because its display is so good and color-accurate. Apple also boasted about the laptop’s speaker quality, selection of ports, and horsepower, even though it uses an older M5 Pro or M5 Max chip.
You can get all of that for a starting price of $2,899.
In a video posted to X, new Apple CEO John Ternus revealed one more surprise: the new MacBook Pro features a glowing Apple logo on the top/back of the device, a feature we haven’t seen in years.
