5 Years, Zero Deals: What CDA Just Admitted About Islamabad’s Hotel Plots
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has reported that it did not lease or rent out any hotel or restaurant plots in Islamabad over the past five years, according to a written response submitted to the Senate by the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control.
Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi provided the information in response to a question from Senator Haji Hidayatullah Khan, who sought details of the authority’s leasing activity involving hotel and restaurant sites in the federal capital.
According to the ministry’s reply, the CDA’s Directorate of Estate Management-II did not lease or rent out any plots designated for hotels or restaurants during the period under review.
The response did not list any properties or provide information on lease agreements, rental terms, or revenue generated from such arrangements.
The senator had asked the government to disclose the locations of hotel and restaurant plots leased or rented by the CDA, the terms and conditions of the agreements, and the amounts received in rent.
The Senate response therefore reported no leasing activity in these categories during the five-year period, leaving no individual plots, agreements, or rental amounts to detail.
