A group of 15 to 20 armed robbers allegedly broke into a police security post near Port Qasim in Karachi and robbed police personnel who were asleep while on duty.
The incident took place in the Eastern Industrial Zone of Port Qasim and involved personnel of the Special Police Unit (SPU). A case has been registered at the Bin Qasim Police Station.
According to the FIR, the armed suspects entered the premises late at night after scaling the boundary wall. Constables Mudassar and Irshad, along with a security guard identified as Mashooq, were reportedly asleep at the time.
The suspects allegedly tied the police personnel and the security guard with ropes before taking government and privately owned weapons, ammunition, magazines, and mobile phones.
After the robbery, the suspects reportedly locked the main gate from the outside and fled the scene.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident. Further details about the identities of the suspects and the recovery of the stolen weapons have not yet been disclosed.
