Major General (Retd) Sohail Sabir has been appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, for a term of four years.
The Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department of the Punjab government issued a notification regarding the appointment on September 16, 2026.
According to the notification, Punjab Governor and UHS Chancellor appointed Sabir as vice chancellor with immediate effect after he furnished the required undertaking and affidavit accepting the terms and conditions of the appointment.
His appointment has been made under the University of Health Sciences, Lahore Ordinance, 2002.
