Eid Milad-un-Nabi is expected to be observed in Pakistan on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, according to a forecast by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
PMD said the Rabi al-Awwal moon is unlikely to be sighted on the evening of August 13 because of its age and other astronomical factors.
As a result, the first day of Rabi al-Awwal 1448 Hijri is expected to fall on Saturday, August 15, placing 12 Rabi al-Awwal on August 26.
The department added that partly cloudy weather is expected in most parts of the country on August 13. In Karachi, the moon is expected to set at 7:40 p.m.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will make the final announcement regarding the moon sighting and the start of Rabi al-Awwal.
