The Provincial Health Services Academy (PHSA) has invited applications for its four-year BS Nursing degree programs for the fall 2026–2030 session at 10 government nursing colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the admission notice, candidates must submit their online applications by 5 pm on 16 October 2026. PHSA has also confirmed the closing date on its official website.
The academy operates under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department. Candidates can access the application form and prospectus through www.phsa.edu.pk.
Eligibility for BS Nursing Admissions
Applicants must hold an FSc Pre-Medical qualification or its equivalent with at least 50% marks. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology must be compulsory subjects.
Candidates must also have appeared in the KMU-CAT for the 2026 session. The notice states that applicants who did not take the test are not eligible for admission.
The maximum age is 35 years on the closing date for online applications. Only candidates domiciled in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the newly merged districts, may apply.
Nursing Colleges Offering Admission
The notice lists the following institutions under the PHSA network:
- Post Graduate College of Nursing, Hayatabad, Peshawar.
- Government College of Nursing, Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar.
- Government College of Nursing, Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar.
- Government College of Nursing, Khyber Teaching Hospital, Peshawar.
- Government College of Nursing, Ayub Teaching Hospital, Abbottabad.
- Government College of Nursing, Bannu.
- Government College of Nursing, Swat.
- Government College of Nursing, Mardan.
- Government College of Nursing, Dera Ismail Khan.
- Government College of Nursing, Kohat.
Application Process and Processing Fee
Candidates must complete the prescribed online admission form available on the PHSA website. The academy will not accept applications after the deadline.
Applicants must deposit a processing fee of Rs 500 at any National Bank of Pakistan Aitemaad branch. The notice lists the account title as DG Provincial Health Services Academy and the account number as PK03NBPA2268003311456435.
PHSA has instructed candidates and their parents or guardians to read the prospectus carefully for the full admission terms and requirements. Applicants will remain responsible for omissions in their applications.
Hifz-e-Quran Test on 22 October
PHSA will hold the Hifz-e-Quran test on 22 October 2026.
Candidates seeking marks under this provision must provide a valid Hifz-e-Quran certificate issued by a registered Deeni Madrasa. They must also appear in and pass the prescribed test.
Successful candidates will receive 20 additional marks, which PHSA will add to their obtained FSc marks under the applicable admission policy.
Shortlist and Interview Requirements
PHSA will publish the lists of shortlisted male, female, and quota applicants on its website on 30 October 2026. It will announce the interview schedule alongside the lists.
Only shortlisted candidates will attend interviews at the PHSA office on Budhni Road, Duranpur, near the northern bypass of the motorway in Peshawar.
Candidates must attend in person on their scheduled date and time. The notice states that anyone who misses the interview will lose their right to admission, and PHSA will not arrange another interview.
Applicants must bring all original documents, including a printed KMU-CAT result, a recent passport-size photograph, and a set of attested photocopies of the documents specified in the prospectus.
PHSA will not send separate interview call letters or messages. Candidates must check its website regularly for the shortlist, interview details, and any schedule changes.
The academy will not provide travelling or daily allowances for interviews or other admission activities.
Document Verification and Final Selection
Admissions will remain provisional until the respective nursing colleges verify candidates’ original documents with the relevant boards or offices.
Anyone found to have submitted forged or altered documents during or after the interview will become ineligible and may face legal action.
The central selection committee’s decision will be final, according to the notice issued by PHSA Director General Dr Muhammad Saleem.
