The Balochistan government has announced fully funded foreign PhD scholarships for students from the province under the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF).
The program will support 10 capable and deserving students each year to pursue doctoral studies at recognized international universities.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti described the initiative as an important step toward expanding access to higher education and research opportunities for Balochistan’s youth.
He said the scholarships would help local students pursue admission to leading universities abroad and ensure they were not left behind in accessing global educational opportunities.
Bugti linked the initiative to the provincial government’s broader efforts to counter terrorism through education, awareness and development. He said young people who excel in education and research represented the province’s future.
The chief minister added that the government wanted students from Balochistan to establish a stronger presence in international academic and research institutions.
The announcement did not include application deadlines, detailed eligibility requirements, a list of participating universities or a breakdown of the expenses covered.
While the scholarships have been described as fully funded, applicants will need the program’s formal guidelines to confirm its coverage and selection process.
