How Apple Upgrade Works

According to Apple, customers can apply for Apple Upgrade within minutes and receive a quick approval decision.

The company said all applicants are subject to a soft credit check, which does not affect their credit score.

At the end of the lease period, customers have three options. They can upgrade to the latest generation of the device, purchase the leased device with a one-time payment, or return it.

Apple also allows customers to add an AppleCare protection plan to their leased devices for additional coverage.
