SereneAir Responds to Reports of Shutting Down Its Operations

SereneAir has rejected a recent report suggesting that it has completed the process of shutting down its business setup in Pakistan, saying the airline remains hopeful of resuming operations by the end of this year.

In a statement provided to ProPakistani, the airline said it is actively working to resume operations and expects to restart flights by the end of 2026.

The statement came in response to a recent report claiming that SereneAir had closed its city and airport offices across Pakistan and completed the process of winding up its operations and selling its local assets.

SereneAir said it is currently identifying and salvaging end of life assets and surplus facilities that it no longer needs as part of its cost saving and restructuring efforts. The airline said these measures would help reduce costs and optimize its available resources.

The airline also said its shareholders are considering an additional investment in the company. According to SereneAir, the additional funding would strengthen its financial position and help settle its outstanding liabilities.

The airline has not provided a specific date for the resumption of flights but said it remains hopeful of restarting operations before the end of the year.
