Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has appealed to the public for help after his pet dog, Max, went missing in Islamabad.
Afridi shared the appeal on X . He described Max as a beloved member of his family and asked anyone who finds the puppy to keep him safe until he can return home.

“Max was raised like family and survived severe illness at 30 days old,” Afridi wrote.
The former Pakistan all-rounder added that every share could help in finding the missing puppy. He also published the contact number +92 333 8198181 for anyone with information about Max.
Max Survived Serious Illness as a Puppy
Afridi revealed that Max became seriously ill when he was only 30 days old but managed to survive.
Afridi’s social media appeal described Max as having been raised like a member of the family.
His request has since spread across Pakistani social media, with users and sports pages sharing the missing-dog appeal in an effort to help locate Max.
At the time of publication, there was no public confirmation from Afridi that Max had been found, and reports on August 16 continue to describe the puppy as missing.
Wasim Akram’s Dog Also Went Missing Recently
Afridi’s appeal comes only weeks after another former Pakistan captain, Wasim Akram, faced a similar situation.
Akram’s five-month-old dog, Duke, went missing from Karachi’s DHA Phase 8 area in July. Akram and his wife, Shaniera Akram, asked the public for help and announced a Rs. 250,000 reward for information leading to Duke’s safe return.
Fortunately, that search ended successfully. Akram later announced that Duke had been found safe and thanked the public and police officials who helped locate him.
Afridi and his family will now be hoping for a similar outcome as the search for Max continues.
