iQOO X Concept Phone Shows Off Insane Battery Size and Full-Screen Display

iQOO has reportedly shown off the iQOO X, a futuristic concept smartphone designed to demonstrate technologies the company could potentially explore in future devices. The concept was presented internally on August 14, with physical prototypes also displayed to demonstrate its proposed design and structure.

Many of its listed components are several generations ahead of technology currently available in commercial smartphones, making the iQOO X more of a technology showcase than a conventional upcoming flagship.

Massive Solid-State Battery

One of the most unusual specifications is the 15,000mAh all-solid-state battery, which iQOO reportedly calls the Blue Ice Battery.

Such a battery would be far larger than anything currently available in mainstream smartphones and is another sign that the iQOO X is intended as a technology showcase rather than an imminent retail product.

This battery size is even bigger than some modern tablets, which have a major size advantage over smartphones.

Futuristic Screen and Biometrics

The iQOO X features a 7-inch true full-screen LTPO 6.0 display with a 2K+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 240Hz.

It also has a massive 4,800Hz sampling rate designed for extremely responsive inputs. An AI-powered dynamic partition refresh system can reportedly allow different sections of the display to operate at different refresh rates.

A half-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor handles biometric authentication, significantly expanding the area where users could place their finger to unlock the device. The concept has been shown in Black and White.

Next-Generation Performance Hardware

The concept lists a future Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen10 Pro chipset alongside iQOO’s self-developed QX e-sports chip.

The Snapdragon chip itself is several generations beyond Qualcomm’s current flagship roadmap, highlighting the experimental nature of the specifications.

Memory configurations reportedly range from 12GB to 24GB of RAM, while storage options include 512GB and 1TB.

Dual 200MP Camera Setup

A 200MP Sony main sensor leads the reported camera system.

It is accompanied by a 200MP Samsung periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP Samsung ultrawide camera, giving the concept three high-resolution rear cameras.

Pricing

The reported pricing starts at around $1,038 for 12GB/512GB. The 16GB/512GB model costs $1,097, while the 16GB/1TB version is listed at $1,157.

The highest-end 24GB/1TB configuration is reportedly priced at around $1,275.

The iQOO X remains a concept device, and its futuristic specifications should be treated as technology targets rather than the final specifications of a phone heading to stores.
