KP Increases Allowance For Disabled Employees
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government Department has increased the special conveyance allowance for eligible disabled government employees and approved a 7% rise in the net pensions of Local Council Board retirees.
According to a notification issued by the department, the special conveyance allowance has been raised from Rs6,000 to Rs10,000 per month. The revised rate will take effect from July 1, 2026.
The increase will benefit eligible disabled officers and employees of the Local Council Board, Local Governance School, Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar and tehsil municipal administrations across the province.
Officials said the allowance will be paid under the terms and conditions set by the finance department.
The decision was approved in a meeting of the Local Council Board.
The government has also approved a 7% increase in the net pensions of Local Council Board pensioners. The revised pension will apply to retirees from the Local Council Board, Local Governance School, Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar and tehsil municipal administrations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Officials said the move aims to provide financial relief to employees and retirees amid current economic pressures.
