Punjab Warns Schools Against Reopening Before August 24

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has directed all public and private schools across the province not to reopen before August 24, reminding school administrations to strictly follow the officially notified summer vacation schedule.
In a statement, the minister said schools must remain closed until August 24 and should not resume academic activities before the notified date.
Rana Sikandar Hayat said the Punjab government had allowed one complete month during the summer break for remedial learning camps to help students make up for learning loss. He said the initiative was introduced to improve students’ academic progress before the start of the new school term.
The minister urged all public and private schools to comply with the government’s instructions and ensure that the notified summer holidays are fully observed.
