The Sindh School Education Department has issued a new circular revising school timings across the province, with the schedule taking effect from August 6, 2026.
Under the new timetable, separate timings have been introduced for primary, elementary, secondary, and higher secondary schools.
For single-shift primary schools, classes will run from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday between August 6 and October 31. On Fridays, schools will remain open from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
From November 1 to March 31, single-shift primary schools will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The first shift at double-shift elementary, secondary, and higher secondary schools will run from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. between August 6 and October 31. From November 1 to March 31, the first shift will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
The department has also introduced revised timings for single-shift elementary, secondary, and higher secondary schools.
All concerned officials and school heads have been directed to ensure immediate and strict implementation of the new schedule.
The revised timings will remain in force until further orders.
