CDA Warns to Seal Islamabad Madrasas Over Illegal Construction
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued notices to several religious seminaries over alleged violations of building control regulations in Islamabad.
According to the notices, the madrasa in question, carried out construction without an approved building plan.

The CDA has directed the seminary administration to submit the required construction plans within 15 days. It has warned that failure to meet the deadline could result in the building being sealed.
The CDA said the premises contain unauthorized construction on mandatory setbacks and additional structures on the rooftop.
The authority has also objected to the building being used as a seminary instead of for residential purposes. It has directed the administration to remove all identified violations within 15 days.
The latest action follows a separate notice issued to Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence in Islamabad over alleged illegal construction and encroachments.
The authority directed the residence’s administration to remove unauthorised structures built on mandatory setbacks within 15 days. It warned that failure to comply could result in the property being sealed or the illegal structures being demolished.
The notice warns that non-compliance could lead to the building being sealed, financial penalties and cancellation of the property’s allotment.
