Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) will reportedly require a 210GB download on PlayStation 5 when it launches on November 19, 2026.
The information comes from PlayStation Game Size, an X account known for tracking game download sizes through PlayStation Store data. The account shared the details on October 27, including the game’s expected download size, price, and release schedule.
Insider Gaming has also reported that it independently confirmed the 210GB figure. However, Rockstar Games has not officially announced the game’s final download size.
GTA 6 Could Take Up 210GB of Storage
According to PlayStation Game Size, the Standard Edition of GTA 6 will require a 210GB download on PS5.
The account also listed a price of $79.99 for the Standard Edition.
If accurate, the download would take up nearly one-third of the approximately 667GB of usable storage available on the original PS5.
Players with limited storage space may therefore need to remove existing games or free up additional space before installing GTA 6.
It remains unclear whether the reported 210GB figure represents the complete installed game or only the download itself. The final storage requirement could also change with updates.
Rockstar has not confirmed the installation size for Xbox Series X or Series S.

GTA 6 Pre-Load Starts November 12
Rockstar Games has confirmed that players who pre-order GTA 6 digitally can begin downloading the game on November 12, 2026, one week before its official release.
Pre-loading begins at midnight local time, allowing players to download the game in advance. However, they will not be able to start playing until the November 19 launch.
The physical edition will also be available from November 12, but it will contain a download code rather than a game disc. Buyers will still need to download the game.

The message did not reveal any further details about the game.
GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. For now, players have an officially confirmed pre-load date, although the reported 210GB download size still awaits confirmation from Rockstar.
