Multan Police Register Case Against Three Armed Men Over Alleged Rape

Police in Multan have registered a case against three unidentified armed men after a woman reported being raped while travelling with her husband and two young children.

The woman’s husband lodged the complaint following the alleged assault late the previous night.

According to his account, the family had gone out that evening to attend his cousin’s son’s birthday celebration. On their way home, three armed men stopped them near Wan Chhatta at around 11pm. The suspects were riding a motorcycle without a number plate.

The husband told police that one suspect pointed a weapon at his wife while another held the children at gunpoint. One of the men then allegedly took the woman off the road into a wooded area and raped her.

He said people nearby reached the scene after he raised the alarm, prompting the suspects to flee.

Meanwhile, Multan City Police Officer Akhtar Farooq confirmed that the incident occurred the previous night. He said the woman had undergone a medical examination, and authorities had sent samples to a laboratory in Lahore for forensic analysis.
