Lahore Police Stations to Get Hidden Recording Devices
Lahore Police has decided to install hidden audio and video recording devices at police stations across the city as part of efforts to improve monitoring and accountability.
According to police officials, the devices will be installed at key locations, including SHO offices, station clerk offices, front desks, and police station courtyards.
The system will also record conversations between police personnel and visitors, allowing authorities to monitor interactions taking place inside police stations.
Officials said the initiative is aimed at preventing corruption, discouraging mistreatment of citizens, and keeping a closer watch on the conduct of police personnel.
The recordings will also be used while examining public complaints and as part of monitoring and accountability proceedings.
Police officials said the use of modern technology is expected to strengthen transparency and accountability at police stations.
