One of this week’s Nintendo Direct livestreams brought us some long-awaited details about the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for the Nintendo Switch 2. That includes an official release date of Nov. 5 and a first look at gameplay footage, complete with modernized visuals, free camera controls, and a dedicated jump button. Hyah!

Digital and physical copies of the Ocarina of Time remake are now available for preorder. The digital version costs $59.99, while the physical version goes for for $69.99 — unless you buy it from Amazon or Walmart. As of Sept. 10, both retailers are selling physical copies for just $59.88, or a little over $10 off. (That offer wasn’t being matched by Best Buy, Target, GameStop, or the Nintendo Store at the time of writing.)

Try to get your preorder in soon. In a press release, Nintendo said the first print run of the game’s physical version will have “special packaging that features textured foil cover art.”

Nintendo is also releasing some Legend of Zelda-themed hardware this fall, in honor of the franchise’s 40th anniversary. That includes a special-edition Switch 2 console, Pro Controller, and carrying case, all out Oct. 29. Mashable contributor Lauren Allain has all the details.
