Govt Appoints Muhammad Arif As ZTBL Acting President
The federal government has appointed Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) Chief Financial Officer Muhammad Arif as acting President and CEO of the bank for six months or until its privatization, whichever comes first.
According to a Finance Division notification, Arif will take charge of the bank while continuing his existing duties as CFO. He is also serving as a Senior Executive Vice President at ZTBL.
Arif will oversee the bank during the transition period as the government moves forward with its privatization plans. His existing role has given him experience in ZTBL’s financial management, budgeting, reporting and planning.
ZTBL is Pakistan’s specialized agriculture bank and provides financing to farmers for needs including agricultural inputs, machinery and livestock.
Muhammad Arif’s appointment is expected to ensure continuity in the bank’s operations while the ownership transition takes place.
