IBA Karachi to Soon Open Campus in Islamabad

The Institute of Business Administration Karachi has laid the foundation stone for its Islamabad campus in DHA Islamabad Phase 5 under a partnership with DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi.

The project is aimed at expanding access to higher education.

The ceremony was attended by IBA Karachi Executive Director Dr S. Akbar Zaidi, the administrator of DHA Islamabad, and officials and experts from the education sector.

Dr Zaidi said the new campus would mark an important milestone for Pakistan’s education sector and provide students from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the northern areas with access to world-class education.

He said the campus would focus on academic quality, human capital development and leadership training to prepare future leaders.

“Today, the foundation of not just a campus but also the future leaders of Pakistan has been laid,” Dr Zaidi said.

The Islamabad campus will feature a modern academic block, research facilities, a library and an auditorium. It will also include sports and residential facilities for students.

Dr Zaidi said the campus would further IBA’s vision of knowledge, research and practical impact while creating new opportunities for collaboration with academic institutions and industry.

He added that the project has the potential to emerge as a major centre of higher education in the region.
