Honor X7e Plus Gets a 4G Variant With 108MP Camera
Honor has expanded its X7e smartphone lineup with the launch of the Honor X7e Plus (4G), a new 4G smartphone featuring a large 8,100mAh battery, a 120Hz display and a 108-megapixel camera.
The new model follows the Honor X7e, which launched in June with the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset, and the Honor X7e Plus 5G, which arrived in July. The latest model uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and comes with several AI-powered features.
Honor has listed the phone on its global website, but the company has not yet announced its price or confirmed which markets will receive it.
Design and Display
The Honor X7e Plus (4G) features a 6.87-inch TFT LCD display with a 1592 x 720 HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The screen can reach up to 1,020 nits of peak brightness in High Brightness Mode. It also includes eye-comfort features such as Dynamic Dimming and Low Blue Light mode.
The phone is built to withstand harsh conditions and carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. It also has SGS Premium Performance Certification for drop and crush resistance, with protection against drops from up to 2.5 metres.
The X7e Plus (4G) will be available in Sunrise Orange, Desert Gold and Velvet Black.
Other hardware features include stereo speakers with a 400 percent volume mode, NFC and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Internals and Software
The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset and comes with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Honor’s RAM Turbo feature can use part of the internal storage as virtual RAM to improve multitasking performance.
The X7e Plus (4G) runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
Honor has also included several AI features, including an AI Button, AI Image to Video 2.0, AI Eraser, AI Summary, Circle to Search and AI Memories.
For wireless connectivity, the phone supports Bluetooth codecs including LDAC, aptX and LHDC.
Cameras
The Honor X7e Plus (4G) features a 108-megapixel primary rear camera paired with an auxiliary lens.
For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Battery
The phone’s biggest hardware highlight is its 8,100mAh battery, which is paired with 45W Honor SuperCharge wired charging.
Honor says the battery is designed to retain more than 80 percent of its capacity after six years of use, potentially giving the phone longer battery life over the course of ownership.
Pricing and Availability
Honor has not yet announced the price of the X7e Plus (4G). The company has also not confirmed the markets where the phone will go on sale or provided an official release date.
However, given how 4G variants of smartphones are always cheaper than the 5G models, we can expect the pricing to be below $245, which is the starting price of the 5G variant.
