Tecno has launched the Pova AI Buds Pro, bringing AI-powered transcription, translation and recording features to its latest true wireless earbuds. The earbuds can transcribe speech in real time, create meeting summaries and support translation across up to 78 languages.
The launch comes shortly after Tecno unveiled the Pova 8 Pro and Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition. The standard Pova 8 Pro is scheduled to launch in India on August 18, with no word on an international launch as of yet.
AI Features and Built-In Recording
AI is the main focus of the Pova AI Buds Pro. Tecno says the earbuds can provide real-time speech transcription and meeting summaries, while also supporting translation for up to 78 languages.
The earbuds also have built-in storage for on-device recording. A Quick Note button on the charging case lets users start recording directly. According to Tecno, the earbuds can record continuously for up to four hours.
48dB Hybrid Noise Cancellation
Each earbud has four microphones and supports Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Tecno claims the system can reduce surrounding noise by up to 48dB.
The earbuds also use pinch controls for interaction and support Hi-Res Audio and LHDC codecs. They can connect to two devices at the same time through dual-device connectivity.
For durability, the Pova AI Buds Pro carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.
Up to 40 Hours of Battery Life
Tecno claims the Pova AI Buds Pro can provide up to 40 hours of total battery life when used with the charging case.
The case supports both wireless charging and USB Type-C charging. However, Tecno says the wireless charging pad is sold separately.
Price and Availability
The Tecno Pova AI Buds Pro are priced at around $155 in India. The earbuds are available in a single color option.
