Xiaomi has introduced the Pad 9 Pro Max alongside the Xiaomi 18 Fold, positioning it as the company’s new flagship tablet meant to rival the likes of Apple’s iPad Pro and Samsung’s Ultra tablets.
The device comes with a large 13.3-inch display, Xiaomi’s own XRING O3 processor, up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, along with a 12,000 mAh battery.
Design and Display
The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max features a 13.3-inch LCD with a resolution of 3408 × 2272 pixels and a 3:2 aspect ratio.
The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate and can reach up to 1,000 nits peak brightness.
The standard version weighs 645g, while the Soft Light model weighs 653g.
Xiaomi offers the tablet in wine red, black, and silver color options.
Internals and Software
The Pad 9 Pro Max is powered by Xiaomi’s self-developed XRING O3 chipset, the same processor used in the Xiaomi 18 Fold.
It is available with 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM. Storage options include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The tablet runs Android 17 with HyperOS 4.
It also comes with eight speakers and six microphones.
Cameras
The Pad 9 Pro Max has a 50MP rear camera with optical image stabilization.
The rear camera can record video at up to 4K resolution at 60fps.
At the front is a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls, with support for video recording at up to 1080p at 60fps.
Battery and Pricing
The tablet packs a 12,000mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging. It also supports 27W reverse wired charging and 45W reverse charging through its pogo pins.
The 8GB + 256GB model starts at approximately $715. The 12GB + 256GB version costs around $789, while the 16GB + 256GB model is priced at approximately $864.
The 12GB + 512GB configuration costs around $908, while the 16GB + 512GB version costs approximately $983. The Matte Glass edition with 16GB + 512GB is priced at around $1,027, while the 16GB + 1TB Matte Glass model costs approximately $1,176.
Xiaomi has not confirmed whether the Pad 9 Pro Max will be released in international markets.
