Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Pocket Photo Printer Pro Gift Box in China for around $119.
The bundle includes the Mijia Pocket Photo Printer Pro in an exclusive light purple finish, along with a photo frame and carrying bag.
The standard Mijia Pocket Photo Printer Pro originally launched for around $90, making the new Gift Box around $30 more expensive.
Gift Box Adds a Frame and Carrying Bag
The included photo frame can stand on a desk or attach to a refrigerator using its built-in magnet.
It also works as a small photo holder with space for up to 20 prints.
The carrying bag includes separate compartments for the printer and its consumables, keeping them apart while traveling.
Prints at 313 DPI With Automatic Lamination
The Mijia Pocket Photo Printer Pro uses dye-sublimation printing technology and produces images at 313 dpi.
It supports 16.7 million colors and 256 gray levels, which Xiaomi says helps reproduce photo colors accurately.
Each photo is automatically laminated as it leaves the printer. The protective layer helps guard against everyday moisture while slowing aging and fading.
Supports AR Videos and Audio
The printer connects through Bluetooth 5.2 and allows up to three people to use it simultaneously.
Through Xiaomi’s companion app, users can link a video or audio clip to a printed photo. Friends or family can then scan a QR code associated with the print to watch the video or listen to the audio.
The app also includes custom borders, watermarks, filters, and collage templates for editing photos before printing.
Main Difference Is the New Color and Accessories
The AR video feature and core printing functions were already available on the standard Mijia Pocket Photo Printer Pro.
As a result, the main differences with the Gift Box are the exclusive light purple finish, photo frame, and carrying bag.
Xiaomi has not announced availability outside China.
