Xiaomi has showcased the upcoming 18 Fold at IFA 2026 ahead of its official launch next week.
The device was displayed behind glass, so it could not be handled directly, but its design and several key features were visible.
Design and Display
The Xiaomi 18 Fold was shown in a bright red finish that appears more vibrant in person than in earlier images.
The foldable uses a short and wide “passport” style design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8.
However, Xiaomi has opted for more rounded corners, which could make the device more comfortable to hold during longer periods of use.
The 18 Fold has a 5.38-inch cover display. Because of the rounded design, the left side of the screen appears more squared while the corners on the right are more rounded.
The bezels around the display appear relatively slim.
Inside, the phone has a 7.58-inch main display. The crease was difficult to notice from most viewing angles at IFA, although the device could not be handled for closer inspection.
The main screen also includes a punch-hole cutout in the top-right corner for a selfie camera.
Cameras
The Xiaomi 18 Fold has a second front-facing camera on the cover display.
On the back, the phone features three cameras positioned inside a visor-style camera module.
The setup is expected to include a main camera, a telephoto camera, and an ultrawide camera.
Internals
Xiaomi has confirmed that the 18 Fold will use its in-house XRING O3 chipset.
Earlier benchmark results have indicated promising performance from the new processor.
Xiaomi has not revealed further specifications yet, with more details expected when the 18 Fold is officially unveiled next week.
