A student was killed and three others were critically injured after a reportedly speeding university bus struck them in Renala Khurd, Okara district, Punjab.
The four students were standing beside a road when the bus hit them. One student died at the scene, while the other three sustained critical injuries.
The deceased was identified as Amar Alvi, son of Imtiaz Sabir, a resident of Renala Khurd. He was enrolled in the fifth semester of the BS Psychology program at the University of Okara.
Personnel from the relevant departments reached the scene following the incident. The injured students were taken to a hospital for treatment, while Alvi’s body was also shifted to the hospital for legal formalities.
The bus driver fled the scene after the collision. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
