UHS Increases Nursing Seats at 18 Punjab Colleges

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore has approved 1,100 additional evening seats in nursing programs across Punjab, expanding admission capacity at public-sector nursing colleges.

The decision came during the university’s 96th Syndicate meeting, chaired by Vice Chancellor Maj Gen (R) Prof. Dr. Sohail Sabir. The meeting approved the additional seats across 18 public-sector nursing colleges in the province.

The expansion aims to create more opportunities for students seeking nursing education. However, the university’s announcement did not specify when the additional seats would become available or provide a college-by-college breakdown.

The Syndicate also approved several academic reforms, including five new PhD programs in Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Oral Biology and Medical Laboratory Sciences, as part of efforts to strengthen postgraduate education and research.
