Tecno has expanded its partnership with Italian luxury lifestyle brand Tonino Lamborghini with the Pova 8 Pro Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition.
The two companies announced their partnership in March and previously introduced the Pova Metal Tonino Lamborghini Edition. The new model keeps the hardware of the standard Pova 8 Pro but adds a redesigned exterior and customized software.
Design and Display
The phone has a triangular rear camera module with red accents, two cameras, an LED flash, and the Alive Matrix Display.
Tecno has also added a red power button and a vertical red “Pulse Line” through the center of the rear panel. Its pattern changes in appearance as light hits it. A metallic, embossed Tonino Lamborghini logo completes the rear design.
The phone measures 162.48 x 77.27 x 7.39mm and weighs 189g.
It features a 6.78-inch 1.5K HyperLux AMOLED display with a resolution of 2644 x 1208 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
The display reaches 1,600 nits in high-brightness mode and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. It also supports 1.07 billion colors and has a pixel density of 429ppi.
The phone carries IP69K, IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Internals and Software
The Pova 8 Pro Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G chipset built on a 4nm process.
Its octa-core CPU includes four Cortex-A78 cores running at up to 2.6GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores running at up to 2.0GHz. Graphics are handled by the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU.
Tecno has also included its dedicated P1 graphics chip, which supports gaming at up to 144fps.
The phone runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16.
Depending on the market, configurations include 8GB or 12GB of physical RAM with 256GB or 512GB of storage. Virtual memory can increase total reported RAM to as much as 24GB.
Connectivity includes 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G, along with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo.
It also has an under-display fingerprint reader, hardware gyroscope, electronic compass, and infrared remote control.
The interface receives additional Tonino Lamborghini customization, including a special boot animation, lock screen, live wallpaper, icons, widgets, and exclusive effects for the Alive Matrix Display.
Cameras
The rear camera setup consists of a 50MP Sony LYT-700C main camera with optical image stabilization and an 8MP ultrawide camera.
The triangular camera module also incorporates the Alive Matrix Display.
A 13MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
Battery and Pricing
The phone packs a 6,500mAh battery and supports 45W wired fast charging through USB-C.
Tecno also equips the device with stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res Audio support.
The Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition has launched in Indonesia in an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration for approximately $357, based on the current exchange rate. Other official Tecno regional pages also list configurations reaching 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
