Two unusual games have appeared on Google Play that look remarkably similar to Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and GTA: Vice City, except they are being offered under completely different names and for free.
Screenshots circulating online show games called Mola Sola Gangstar and Barnala Tank City – Punjab, complete with imagery that closely resembles scenes from Rockstar’s classic GTA titles.
At least one of them is definitely still publicly available on Google Play.
Mola Sola Gangstar Is Live on Google Play
Mola Sola Gangstar, published by Farida Digital Innovations, currently has an active Google Play listing. Google Play describes it as a free open-world crime and action game and says it contains ads.
Its screenshots and gameplay shown on the store bear a striking resemblance to GTA: San Andreas. Even some users reviewing the game explicitly refer to San Andreas.
One reviewer thanked the developer for making what they described as GTA San Andreas available on the Play Store, while also mentioning versions with missions and unlocked content.
The listing says the game was last updated on August 22, 2026. Depending on the regional Google Play page, it has already accumulated thousands of downloads.
Another Game Looks Like Vice City
The second screenshot shows an app called Barnala Tank City – Punjab, published under the developer name Bubble Up Tech.
The listing shown in the screenshot has a 4.7-star rating from 153 reviews and appears to use gameplay imagery closely resembling GTA: Vice City.
However, we could not independently locate a currently indexed Google Play page for Barnala Tank City, so it may have already been removed, may be region-restricted, or may simply not yet be indexed by search engines.

Rockstar’s Versions Are Paid Games
Rockstar itself continues to sell the official Android versions of both games.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas costs $6.99 on Google Play and has more than five million downloads, while the original mobile version of GTA: Vice City is listed for $4.99. Both are published by Rockstar Games and carry Mature 17+ ratings.
That makes the appearance of free games seemingly using very similar assets particularly unusual.
There is not yet enough public evidence to establish whether the apps contain Rockstar’s original game files, modified versions of the games, emulation, or simply copied visual assets. Neither Google nor Rockstar appears to have publicly commented on the listings so far.
For now, though, at least one extremely GTA-looking game is sitting openly on the Play Store under the name Mola Sola Gangstar.
