Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced an emergency gas shutdown in several areas of Lahore due to repair work on a leaking pipeline along Barki Road.
The gas supply will remain suspended from 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, until 6 a.m. Thursday, October 1.
The affected areas include Main Barki Road, Paragon City, and all blocks of DHA Phase 7 and DHA Phase 6. The shutdown will also affect Mehfoozpura, DHA Phase 8, Askari X, Airport Road, and the Cantonment area.
Gas supply will also remain suspended in Ghazi Road, DHA Phases 1, 2, 3 and 4, Nishat Colony, Harbanspura, Bedian Road, and Askari XI. Dharampura, Ghaziabad, Canal Road, and adjoining areas will also be affected.

SNGPL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make alternative arrangements. It also urged consumers to keep gas appliances turned off during the shutdown to avoid any accidents.
