The Sindh College Education Department has directed all regional directorates, attached offices and public colleges under its control to establish official websites within 30 days.
The department warned that failure to comply may lead to administrative action.
In a circular, the department said many offices and regional directorates still do not have official websites despite the growing need for digital access to public services and information.
It said the websites are necessary to improve transparency, public access, communication and timely sharing of information with students, stakeholders and the general public.
The circular instructed all concerned officers, including the director general, regional directors, principals and directors, to develop and maintain websites for their institutions.
Each website must include the office profile and contact details, notifications, circulars, public notices, staff directory, organizational structure, information on academic programs, admissions and facilities, and fee structures for graduation programs.
The department also said websites should offer downloadable forms, applications and policies, a grievance redressal or feedback mechanism, compliance information and other material required under official rules.
To support the process, the department said its IT wing will provide technical help on website development, hosting, security and standardization.
It also asked offices to coordinate with the IT wing on design, content migration, cybersecurity, maintenance and accessibility standards.
The circular said all websites must be fully functional and publicly accessible within 30 days of the order, and compliance reports must be submitted immediately after completion.
The department warned that any failure to meet the deadline would be taken seriously and could result in action under the relevant rules and regulations.
