Sindh Colleges Ban Ajrak, Topi and Other Gifts During Official Visits

The Sindh College Education Department has barred public colleges from presenting Ajrak, Sindhi topi, flower bouquets, souvenirs, or any other gifts to the college education secretary during his official visits across the province.

The instructions were issued through a directive dated August 6 and apply to all government colleges in Sindh.

The department has directed the Sindh colleges director general, regional directors in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur and Larkana, and principals of all public colleges to ensure compliance.

According to the directive, the secretary should not be presented with gifts of any kind, including Ajrak, Sindhi topi, bouquets, commemorative items, or souvenirs during official college visits.

Regional directors and college principals have been instructed to implement the decision in letter and spirit, with the department warning that any violation of the directive will be viewed seriously.
