A Sikh student has made history by securing a top position in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) First Annual Examination 2026.
Onkar Singh scored 1,189 marks and secured second position in the boys’ science group, becoming the first Sikh student to earn a position in BISE Lahore’s history.
Speaking about his achievement, Onkar said he plans to pursue a career in medicine and become a doctor to serve humanity.
He also called for reforms to improve the education system and urged the government to provide better employment opportunities for young people to reduce unemployment.
Onkar said minorities in Pakistan enjoy complete freedom and protection. He credited his success to hard work, his parents’ prayers, and the guidance of his teachers.
