Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves witnessed a small increase during the week ended August 7, 2026.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), its foreign exchange reserves rose by $4 million over the week to $17.057 billion, up from $17.043 billion a week earlier.
The country’s total liquid foreign reserves stood at $22.498 billion as of August 7.
This includes $17.057 billion held by the SBP and $5.441 billion maintained by commercial banks.
The current level of reserves roughly offers an import cover of 2.5 months.
