Saudi Arabia Introduces Same-Day Visa Processing for Pakistanis

Saudi Arabia has introduced same-day visa processing for Pakistani citizens at its embassy in Islamabad, while both countries have agreed to expand cooperation in oil storage, refinery upgrades, energy supplies and minerals.

The developments were announced after Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik met Saudi Arabia’s newly appointed ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Rajeh bin Tami Al-Baqami, to discuss opportunities in the mining, petroleum and energy sectors.

The minister announced that the Saudi embassy in Islamabad had introduced same-day processing of visa applications for Pakistani citizens.

Malik also invited Saudi Arabia’s Vice Minister of Mining, Khalid al-Mudafier, to attend the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum in Islamabad on November 12 and 13.

Both sides said their longstanding defence and strategic partnership provided a foundation for broader regional peace, stability and economic cooperation.

The Saudi ambassador said Riyadh deeply appreciated Pakistan’s longstanding support and that the two countries stood together in all circumstances. He added that their defense and energy cooperation frameworks aimed to promote regional peace, stability and economic growth.

The minister assured the ambassador that Pakistan valued its historic relationship with Saudi Arabia and remained committed to expanding cooperation across strategic sectors.
