I didn’t even know human eyes could process 1,100 frames per second, but Samsung is betting they can. At Gamescom this week, the brand announced its 2027 gaming monitor lineup, and the specs are out of control.

According to the official press release, these next-gen monitors were designed for players who want total flexibility in speed and resolution. So, if you’re used to blaming your refresh rate for your stats, Samsung’s about to eliminate your favorite excuse.

“With new form factors, higher refresh rates, and advanced display technologies, the 2027 Odyssey lineup gives players more choice across competitive play, cinematic games, and multi-purpose setups,” Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics, said in a statement.

The 27-inch Odyssey G6 is the world’s first monitor to reach a 1,100Hz refresh rate.

Samsung hasn’t announced pricing or release dates for the OLED models just yet, though the 1,100Hz G6 is set to launch globally in the second half of 2026.
