Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S26 FE, bringing its latest Galaxy AI features, an upgraded Exynos chipset, and Android 17 to the Fan Edition lineup.
Design and Display
The Galaxy S26 FE features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,900 nits of brightness.
It measures 161.6 × 76.9 × 7.4mm and weighs 193g. Samsung offers the phone in Blueberry, Pistachio, and Graphite.
Internals and Software
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S26 FE with the 3nm Exynos 2500, upgrading from the Exynos 2400 used in last year’s S25 FE.
The chipset brings newer CPU cores, an upgraded AMD RDNA-based GPU, and a more powerful NPU for AI processing.
The phone comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or, in select markets, 512GB of storage.
It is also the first Galaxy S26-series device to ship with Android 17 and One UI 9 out of the box.
New AI features include an improved Now Brief, customizable briefing cards, Now Nudge, and an upgraded Circle to Search that can identify multiple objects in the same image.
Samsung promises seven generations of Android upgrades and seven years of security updates.
Cameras
The camera hardware remains largely unchanged.
The rear setup includes a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide, and an 8MP telephoto with OIS, 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. A 12MP camera handles selfies.
New software features include My FanCam, which automatically follows and centers a selected person in existing videos.
Super Steady now includes Horizontal Lock to keep video level even during movement, while Nightography has been improved for low-light shooting.
Photo Assist can use natural-language instructions to add or remove objects, change backgrounds, and make other edits. Gemini Omni can also create and edit video clips using photos and videos from the Gallery.
Battery and Pricing
The Galaxy S26 FE packs a 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and Wireless PowerShare. Samsung says the phone can reach around 69% charge in 30 minutes with a compatible 45W adapter.
Prices start at $699.99 for the 128GB model, which is $50 higher than the launch price of its predecessor.
